Femininity is a product of mass production, something you can buy in a store. In this solo, Yulia Arsen goes to the Funny Prices shop with a plastic bag to achieve the only real femininity that can be bought for reasonable money....and finally become full-fledged. Using dance, humour and soap bubbles, this ironic, honest and intimate work addresses the clichés about being a real woman, looking at gender and self-determination. Julia Arsen is an Aerowaves Twenty22 Artist.

Sunk and unprocessed memories bubble to the surface in Zoë Ashe-Browne’s The Space Between Us. Stemming from a need for connectivity during the height of the pandemic in 2020, and the rise and traction of social justice at the time, The Space Between Us reflects the challenges and sham realities that, unwillingly, become the new norm. An emotive soundscape is the backdrop for the work's intricate lighting and performers' connotative movements.
