In this presentation, Jenny Roche will discuss experiences of collaborating as a dancer across a range of film projects, including with choreographers Liz Roche, Rosemary Butcher and recently, with Carol Brown, Ruth Gibson and Bruno Martelli on WAHAWAEAO. She will outline some of the insights gleaned from inhabiting a ‘mediated body’ and the dancing practices that evolved when shifting from the ephemerality of live performance to the (often) fragmented flow of choreographic filmmaking.
