This artist talk looks at Taler’s recent body of work to question why she has chosen performative activities that, for her, conflate discomfort and fear with familiarity and desire.  And how consequently, she have begun to understand aspects of her practice as performing mourning.  In addition to the Argentinean song in her grandmother’s house in Romania, she will discuss recent videos where she performs a Romanian song in a German forest, and a series of Tai Chi gestures on a beach.
