Step Up Triple Bill - Dance Limerick

Step Up Dance, a partnership between the Arts Council, Dance Ireland, Dance Limerick and the University of Limerick, now in its 8th year, once again plays host to some of Ireland’s most promising young contemporary dance graduates. Following a national open call we are delighted to introduce the 6 dancers who were selected to take part in the prestigious programme. The Step Up 2018 participants are Rocio Dominguez, Katrina Galvin, Mintesinot Getachew, Rebecca Lee, Evgenia Sizmina & Kathy Young.

The dancers have worked intensively with experienced choreographers and tutors culminating in a triple bill performance touring Dance Limerick (6 September), Firkin Crane, Cork (7 September) and Dance House, Dublin (8 September).

The 3 works which make up the triple bill are: a new work entitled I Call To You by Catherine Young, MINEVENT by Merce Cunningham, arranged and staged by Daniel Squire; and Every Gesture by John Scott.
